Awesome pools, everything is new, great view of the beach
Staff at the bars and restaurants are not trained enough and the pool area is missing waiters.. cocktails are made poor. Food at some of the restaurant is not above average. Must say that the staff at the lobby were excellent..
- Breakfast: Lots of sweets to choose from and omelets made specially for you - The crew is very kind and lovely: Blanka and David. Saved the place from horrible review - Beautiful place - Amazing pool - Good Gym
-Honeymoon: Didn't do anything for our Honeymoon. It was our first drop when reaching to Mexico, our start of our trip. -Room: The room was located in lower floor, even though we paid for ocean view room. We asked to change and they did - the only problem it was to a room with family which a little girl screaming (horribly) for 24/7. I thought only adults will be in that resort and for sure the higher floors. The smell was not good -Service: Asked to stay another night - no breakfast (screaming family just left), but they wanted to charge us an amount which was half a price of 3 nights (breakfast included) !! - Breakfast: Was good. Not that much of salad variety but done very well. There were mosquitos in the salads vegetables and all over the dinning room. I asked them to replace it in the buffet, but they just brought another piece with mosquitos =/
The staff is really nice and friendly. The pool is big and clean, the room was very big and clean . The breakfast is really good and the restaurant in the hotel was highly recommended
The location of our room (left side of the hotel) was very noisy, since 8am until night time there is loud music all day long it bothered us a lot. The music wasn’t from the hotel, there is a beach party club right next to it. The air conditioning wasn’t working on the first day and the toilet (the water didn’t flush) but they fix it all quite fast.
Room service was not consistent. There were day they did not service the room properly
Staff was very friendly.
Three days of constant construction from 8 am to after 6 pm. Could not rest in our room during the day due to noise: electric saw, pounding, hammering, people yelling, whistling at workers...It made it unpleasant. We were moved on Thursday, 9/12/19 after 6 pm to a different room and checked out Saturday, 9/14/19 at 7 am.

Some of the suites even include their own private plunge pool right on the balcony, allowing guests to truly immerse themselves in relaxation.
Guests can arrange an all-inclusive dining package at the Grand Hyatt and choose from one of four on-site restaurants. Ranging from a fresh sushi bar to a top five fine dining restaurant, guests will be certain to find something to satisfy their food cravings at the hotel.
If guests want to explore Playa del Carmen beyond the beautiful beach, the trendy La Quinta Avenida is just one block away, providing plenty of dining and shopping options. A playground of natural wonder, the XCaret Eco Theme Park offers attractions for guests less than seven miles from the Grand Hyatt. Although about 40 miles away, the Tulum Mayan Ruins will astound guests and are well worth the visit.
