Easy access to/from airport via metro or bus. good size room, comfortable beds and good amenities.
Definitely a five-star hotel in five-star neighborhood in a five-star city!
The room I got was closer to four star: small, quite dark, with no real view. But it was very quiet, at least.
All was fine, but why 5 stars? Room fairly small, nothing too fancy. Food in the bar not particularly good. Internet worked well. All OK, but not worth wasting money on.
Amazingly beautiful hotel and incredible staff that went out of their way to make our honeymoon beyond special. Great location to train station. Common areas were breathtaking and relaxing to sit and unwind. Will absolutely stay at this hotel again.
Loved the free access to the spa, but disliked they did not have a common jacuzzi with male/female access to share the experience with my bride. Their was only individual jacuzzi in each dressing room.
Bedsheets was not change everyday. No bed turnover like other 5stars hotels.
The Hotel Scribe Paris (managed by Sofitel) is more than just another 5-star hotel in a fashionable Parisian quarter. It was in this building in 1895 that the world's first filmmakers - the Lumière brothers - demonstrated the 'cinématographe' for the first time. The hotel's 'La Galerie de la Nouvelle Image' pays rich tribute to the joys of cinema. Luxury and history combined French designer Jacques Grange has cleverly infused contemporary design into the building's classic architecture. Furnishings in the 213 luxury rooms and suites have been carefully selected, and amenities include Hermès toiletries, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee-making facilities and flat-screen TVs. Access to the fitness center and the use of the hammam (Turkish bath) and Jacuzzi is free for guests. Award-winning in-house restaurant Le Lumière (named after the brothers) dares you to sample some top-class contemporary French cuisine, while the chic L'Obscur Bar is perfect for pre-dinner cocktails before hitting the Parisian nightclubs. The hotel is easily accessible: Opéra metro station is just a stroll away, while the Gare du Nord is a 10 minute taxi ride. Out and about Located between Opéra Garnier and Place Vendôme, with the Louvre, Champs Elysées and Place Concorde just a short walk away, Hotel Scribe is perfect for exploring the heart of Paris. Shopaholics, art enthusiasts and night owls will love the abundance of galleries, boutiques and bars in the vicinity.
