The staff is so friendly and helpful. A receptionist taught me how to put on a yukata and showed me how to enjoy the onsen. I was the only foreigner at the hotel that weekend.
The only thing i didnt like was the heater in the room. it ran on petrol, and it turned it on for 5mins and the room smelled like a gas station, i couldnt even breathe. So i didnt have it on during the night and of course It was freezing at night. I didnt have a good sleep
A senior gentleman speaks good English.
It is not clean in hot spring place and the bowls very dirty and the dinning table very sticky with dirt. I am honest with my opinion and overall the place is good.
Very Japanese style. The futon was comfortable. The onsen is really nice and pretty. Good products for the shower and after shower. Good breakfast. The area is a really remote but very nice one. Just by the lake. We were able to be in the nature around the facilities and we saw monkeys and deers. It also snowed in the sunrise. Amazing experience.
The cleaning could have been better. The shop is only opened until 7pm and there's nowhere else around to buy food/convenient things. But if you plan it ahead, it's not a problem.
onsen. peaceful area. attentive hotel staff. size of room.
cleanliness of bathroom and traditional japanese bedding (there were stains). the traditional japanese bedding was very thin, so I felt like I was sleeping directly on the floor.
location - peaceful and quite, nice lake, food for dinner and breakfast - excellent for the price.
Pillow and bedding not comfortable. There's only one pillow per bed and too small.
