Announcement upon arrival of amenities ‘fee’
The room was very nice and spacious. Staff at the door and in the bar were very friendly.
There was one lift which was slow sometimes taking 5-10 minutes to be available. The 35 dollar charge for urban tax was not clearly defined at check in. This tax was started in September 2019. We booked our room on August 2019. At checkout I was explaining that this fee was included in our fee and the lady at reception was having none of it. After much checking I finally confirmed when the tax was introduced. We were then told how we were going to have to pay for the additional 75 dollars of food which was supposed to be included ( as advised as check in). We ended up paying for one night of it. Very frustrating. This hotel tax isn’t worth it and forces you to eat in the hotel. Not to mention it barely covers breakfast or two drinks at the bar.
Central location Friendly staff Huge room and amazing shower
Maybe only minor thought would be to put coffee / tea facilities in room. A bit of a faff to go downstairs and get your coffee when you wake up.
Great location. Nice rooms. Good restaurant with very slow, inattentive service.
The surprise $35/day fee they whack in a booked reservation on check in! Robbery. Forces you to eat in their restaurant. Bad form all around.
Good location near to Central Terminal, 5th Ave
No tea coffee facilities in room, need to go down to restaurant for complimentary coffee. Bathroom on the cramped side with sink nearly over the toilet.
