Price, location, facilities
Staff somehow a bit cold, especially when we called on saturday to advise that we did not have hot water anymore (hot water very long to come anyway). Technical guy came, checked and told us with some weird tone "but hot water is ok"! Like we called for nothing just to bother the staff??? I had my shower with cold water as we had to leave to take the train to Windsor, thus I would have been happy not to hear such ridiculous remark.
Close to the shops and tube
The beds were rock hard and the pillows were very uncomfertable, the toilet blocked everytime it was flushed. You couldn’t drain the sink as the plug got stuck when it was pushed down. The noise in the hotel at night kept us awake most of the night, we now understand it is a stop off hotel for flight attendants so that might explain it. No one asked us how our stay was when we checked out.
Position, and friendly atmosphere
Breakfast could be better
The room I asked for (twin)was fine when I checked in the morning, however when I went to collect the room card in the evening we had got moved to the 17th floor. When I complained I was moved back to the 2nd floor but only to a double. No twins were available,
I had an all night flight, got in at 9:00 am and had the morning before I could see my daughter who I was visiting. Arrived at Holiday Inn and was told that check in was at 2:00. I understand that, but would have appreciated a little extra effort...
