Hanoi Oriental Boutique Hotel

The room was clean and had everything we needed including complimentary fruit and snacks which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was good with a nice balance of foods. Service of all staff we encountered was excellent and they could not have been more accommodating and helpful!!

There was nothing really to complain about - the room was probably on the small side.

Staff very friendly and attentive at all hours. Room was a good size, and decent shower. Free snacks and drinks were a definite bonus. Great location with lots of good restaurants nearby. Nice building.

I've been spoilt by having amazing breakfasts at other hotels in Vietnam. There was nothing particularly bad about breakfast here, but it also lacked local Vietnamese options/flair. Vietnam is associated with amazing food, but breakfast here was just OK. Air conditioner condensate pipe got blocked and started spraying water into the room late at night. Had to call front desk to have it resolved. Usually caused by maintenance issues with them not being cleaned regularly enough. On the plus side this was resolved quickly by front desk staff with a screw driver and magic straw. I guess this happens pretty regularly. Minibar lacking price list, or indication that the items had to be paid for. We didn't consume any of them, so not a real issue. Likely just our room and price list got misplaced.

The staff at this hotel are absolutely fantastic. They attend to every detail no matter how minute to ensure that everything is taken care of. The trips to Sa Pa and Lan Ha Bay were beyond expectations and we received excellent deals and upgrades at every stage of our trip. Thomas and Leah are without a doubt the best hotel operators I've come across in a long time and I used to be a concierge at a 5 star hotel in Melbourne.
