It was in a convenient position! The hotel staff were very nice and so was the breakfast,
The room needed some modernization, especially the bathroom which had black grout in places, stains on the bathroom ceiling and a flashing light which was disappointing as I fancied lying in the bath and relaxing, but I would have had to be in the dark!. The hotel served its purpose but I think it was over priced for a stay in October.
Comfortable hotel, showing signs of age but good staff and relaxed atmosphere.
I have been staying at the hotel on and off for the last 15 years. The refurbishment of Reception and bar make a very good first impression. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. The food is of good quality and reasonably priced.
Consistency of appliances - my daughters room had a fan ours did not.
Location - it is on the seafront and quite pleasant. Quiet, even with the musical activities on the sea front ie the Bandstand
I was not happy with the Dining room arrangements, for breakfast and evening meals. I did not like huge wall clock in the bedroom - quite disturbing. The TV was poorly located in front of large bay windows.
on the seafront, cheap, good memories
The dining room should have been hoovered after dinner on 04-08-2010. At breakfast there were crumbs all over the carpet. I remember the chatsworth when it reaslly WAS a hotel. I've been there, with my wife many times from early 70s to mid to late 90s
Although the room was comfortable with excellent sea view it was spoiled by a rather tatty ceiling which was cracked and stained.
Very comfortable rooms
The excellent service.
The bathroom facilities.
Location to seafront
Excellent location and ambience.
Rooms were very warm, but it was April and the weather was unusually hot for the time of year.
