Hotel The Corralejo Beach

We were supposed to stay in this hotel for 4 nights but we ended up staying just one night and cancelled the rest. The Appartments we were assigned (we requested a change from the first apartment) were too old. The facilities look old and it did not have easy access to the room. We were carrying heavy luggage and due to the facilities we needed to carried it several times ourselves. The food was not too good either and not too much variety. Also we found the plates not too be 100% clean or at least looked like it. The bed was awful. We woke up with back pain and the pillows were uncomfortable. My wife is pregnant and the access to the Appartments with Sea view are not too well connected to the rest of the amenities in the hotel. The parking was uncomfortable and they charged 5 euros a day. The Appartments we stayed in were also a bit smelly. We did not like it at all. Interesting that the staff in reception asked us why we were leaving earlier than expected. We said we did not like it but they also did not ask the reasons (some hotels would have asked to know what to improve). The beach chairs were a bit too old and did not look too good. The view from the appartment with Sea view was very nice thought and the hotel is well located but still not worth the price. I don't recommend this hotel.

The hotels rooms were nice, with hair dryer and shower gel, shampoo provided. Nice little kitchenette. Very small bar. Location was great, just beside beach and main strip.

Be careful which accommodation they place you in. We initially placed in a 2 bed apt (even though we didn't request it) that had no balcony and smelt of smoke. We then requested to be moved, which they did and while it was better as it had a balcony but it got no sun at all and also smelt of smoke. On 4th day we eventually got moved into the hotel and it was nice. They appear to use Apartments called sol Corralejo adjacent to them and you cant access these through reception at night time. No English channels in apartments but have in hotel block.
