Apparently "Do not disturb" on the door means "Come on in at any time and ignore" in Ibis and Ibis turns off the power centrally to the AC after 12hrs of a 5+ day stay. The desk isnt manned after 2200 so addressing it is impossible if you get back after 22:00.

I made reservation for 7 rooms, get confirmation from booking. during late self-check in find out that only 6 rooms are booked in ibis system.

The blanket wasn't big enough.. Needs extra pillows. Need tea and a kettle and a proper breakfast..

The price! For the type of accommodation that is was, the price was great. We were not expecting much, in that regard, when we arrived. However, when we got there, the self check-in was easy to use, the room was clean, there was A/C... TV, decent beds. 4 minute walk from a very convenient train (20 mins to downtown Cologne), 5 minute walk to two supermarkets with very good (and cheap!) food. (0.7 Euros for a tall boy of Warsteiner, I couldn't believe my eyes. $4 for one in Canada). I will say - when we got there we were concerned with the location, cause it looks like you're in the middle of nowhere. Car factory/industrial/commercial business area. We were wrong! It was a very decent location - and quiet! If we are in Cologne again, and don't have money for somewhere better, this is where we will go.
One pillow, and it was as thick as my arm (I'm a skinny dude). Free wi-fi, but streaming speeds required 6 EUR/day. Budget hotel though. Didn't try the breakfast, but it looked like your typical European continental spread (hard boiled eggs, bread, cheeses, etc.)
