Easy location to both Kölner Dom and Basilica of St. Ursula, Cologne. Good sized bathoom. The renting of towels actually came with two towels (usually you only get one!) Clean, basic, cheap. Fine if you're only planning to sleep and shower there.
In 2019 every bed, whether private or dorm should have a power socket next to it!! And this one did not. Also having to rent linen but when went to room half the beds already had linen. Was very confusing and felt ripped off. Bunks felt unstable. Climbing to top bunk when no one was on the bottom felt like it was going to topple back on me. When someone was. Sleeping on the bottom felt fine.

The staff forced me to buy sheets and pay city tax which was not mentioned when I was booking with booking.com. there was no elevator and I had to go up on the third floor
