For a budget price the hotel offered a good menu. The meals were well served and of good quantity and quality.
the car park was very steep. Under normal circumstances this is no problem but we visited during the recent spell of bad snow and ice.
Warm room & on suite
At @164.95 it was very expensive for what we got for 2 nites & had to pay for food on top. Alao the tv did'nt work properly. Some chanels had no sound. & when I rang reception was told that it was the same in all the rooms.
Pleasant staff and reasonable restaurant
No heat available in room in the morning even when outside temp was literally freezing
Staff were friendly and welcoming, excellent value for money.
Unclean bedding e.g Blood
The most rude man on reception on our arrival
very convenient location for our visit to Cardiff castle
I did not get the room I booked, I booked a non smoking double room & was given a smoking room. The manager was less than helpful & we ended up in a non smoking twin. We were unable to finish our evening meal on the day of our arrival as the kitchen shut at 9.30. We tried to order a dessert & was told that it wasn't possible. This was at 9.45 & after a 4 hour jouney this was not very welcoming. Would not stay there again. The manager should Basil Fawlty in a good light!!
Quiet, Clean and Cheap.
Rooms a bit small. Bath too slow to fill. Shower temperature difficult to adjust.
close to cardiff
we went to cardiff to watch the rugby both nights that we were at the hotel, there was groups of young males, drunk, on our balcony where the rooms were situated , shouting, screaming, singing and generally being disruptive between 2am and 5am before they finally went to sleep. The manager did ask after about two hours if they would be quiet, they took no notice and no further intervention from the manager came and, on the second night nobody came to them at all - disgraceful. When we complained they said that they had done thier best. we would NOT stay here again.
