Breakfast was good staff were helpful
Thought the lack of water and the time it took to solve was poor - Frozen pipes? Really? Ok, it had snowed but it wasnt that cold
The sunlight in the morning in the breakfast room and the view from our room .
Everything requires going outside to access i.e. the rooms from Reception, the Restaurant from the rooms (for dinner and breakfast), the Bar from anywhere, etc You cannot park the car near reception or the rooms and shen it's wet (which it was) it's dreadful. The food is also bad
?? Dissapointed, have stayed at hotel a few times before and have seen deterioration each time. Room was thick with dust, bathroom dirty, taps and shower door water marked and pubic hairs on the bathroom floor from previous guests. Cooked breakfast was limited also.
The spa facilities were good as was the food in the restaurant. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable.
I was staying in one of the garden rooms and the bathroom walls had some mold on so i changed rooms.
A lovely position - if only the sun had shone ... The Chinese waitress, Xiang (studying at Bath university) was a delight!
Lovely room - I'd apparently had an unexpected upgrade, which made me feel very pampered. Staff very helpful & friendly. Surroundings beautiful.
I went to dinner in the cellar restaurant salivating, expecting it to match the standard of the rooms and grounds. Alas, to me it didn't, which was a great surprise considering the high standards elsewhere.
Surroundings, piece and quiet
The rooms were shabby, particularly the bathrooms. The food definitely did not live up to our expectations either.
When we got to the hotel we had been upgraded to a suite which was absolutely fabulous. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. We will definitely be going back!
The view was great. The health club is good.
Situated amongst 76 acres of wooded land is the Combe Grove Hotel. The setting is very natural and beautiful giving guests the perfect backdrop for a relaxing vacation or getaway. Views from this hotel look out over Limpley Stoke valley in the direction of the Westbury White Horse.
Though the outside of Combe Grove Hotel looks very traditional and classic English, the inside is anything but. Rooms have very contemporary décor and modern furnishings. There are 40 rooms in the hotel that have views of the valley or the gardens. There are junior suites, as well as full suites. Some rooms have balconies or terraces to relax on and take in the views. Amenities in the rooms include flat-screen TVs with digital channels, free WiFi, hairdryers, and free bottled water.
Every morning guests can wake up to a full English breakfast for a nominal fee. The hotel has a restaurant on-site called the Orangery. The menu changes with the seasonal ingredients that are available. Guests can have meals there all day. There are different rooms to eat in. The Drawing Room, the Roman Room, or the bar can all be chosen to dine in.
Combe Grove Hotel has a gorgeous indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a health club, and two indoor tennis courts for guests to use. There is a driving range on the property too. Guests can use a steam room, a sauna, and attend several fitness classes on the premises.
