Last minute stay
Staff was excellent - very professional and accommodating. The hotel was very nice and clean. We didn’t use the pool or spa, but they looked nice.
There was a lot of noise from the highway while we were trying to sleep.
The staff was very accommodating and made the experience more enjoyable
The hotel bar was a bit expensive.
Date in Austin with girlfriend.
Pros: - Great first impression with the lobby and facility appearance - The heated pool that is both outside and inside is awesome, along with the hot tub, sauna, and robes waiting for u in the rooms.
Cons: - Day 1 I was staying in a premium room, cuddling with my girlfriend and saw a bug crawling in and out of the fire alarm (I've never told my gf this bc she woulda been freaked out and I woulda lost romance points, and she woulda been mad at me if she finds out I didn't tell her). And I couldn't get up to kill it without her noticing bc she was laying on me. - Day 2 I requested a standard room to "save a couple bucks" (get out of the room with bugs), and the next morning around 8am my gf and I were both naked in bed (I was already awake) and someone was talking to a friend, opened our door without knocking, noticed we were in there, then they stopped talking and quickly left. (Thank goodness my gf is a heavy sleeper!) I spoke with the manager about this and he checked who came into the room and he told me it was just the cleaning people. I honestly was expecting some kind of offer of a discount on my stays, or some kind of special discount on any future stay, but I got nothing. I liked the pool and stuff, but the hotel basics that were kinda messed up (for me) when it comes to comfort, were a little disappointing. If you aren't scared of the bug thing, or the random people coming into your room without notice then u'll be fine.
Hotel was clean and staff friendly
The rooms and bathrooms are tired and outdated.
Doesn't live up to the Omni brand.
The best thing about the hotel is that it had a clean, comfortable bed. Next would be proximity to 6th street... a short drivable distance.
Plenty of things to dislike about this hotel. I'll start with the most obvious. This hotel is extremely outdated and could use a ton of renovations. The "bar" is a joke and the restaurant looked like an old Dennys. There's no way I'd ever have a reception here... very old and unflattering ball rooms if you can call them that. I personally wouldn't even hold a conference there. Bathrooms were outdated, pool was ok, jacuzzi is the size of my home tub... no thanks. It also had some weird foamy substance floating at the top which totally squashed any desire I had to swim. All in all, pretty disappointing for the money.
Great stay
Rooms are clean and comfortable. Pool is beautiful!
We had to turn the air down to 65 in order to be comfortable at night.
Pool, lobby bar were nice Nice staff Air conditioned
Had to pay to get WiFi access in the room
We had a non smoking room however it was across from the stairwell and someone was smoking in the stairwell which made the hall outside our room smell of smoke along with our room which then caused repertory problems for myself and my daughter. The highway traffic noise is awful!!! Also we thought the Wi-Fi was complimentary but then they charged us for it. Outside of those things it was fine but two were huge negatives for us.
Room prepaid but not available when I arrived
My prepaid room wasn't available when I arrived. The night manager gave me a voucher for a less expensive hotel nearby and the business card of a manager that I could talk to later. Really poor way to treat a guest who had already paid and had a room gurantee. And, I never got a refund for my prepaid room.
For the over priced room I was expecting more free
Nice people
I did not like that every amenity in the room had a price tag. Looks like they are desperate for a buck here and there. They did not even have a complementary coffee pot to make your own coffee in the morning. This is not an exclusive hotel, I would say this hotel is a none inclusive hotel.
We were bump
We were bumped from our paid booking. Wanted two beds. 60 year old had to sleep on roll away. Not happy. On the bright side the room was clean and nice lobby.
