Pros:The in-flight crew was friendly.
Cons:First, the cost of my economy ticket from Tokyo to Manila was not cheap. It was about $100-$150 more than I was expecting. I have taken 13 flights in the past 2.5 weeks from the US to all over Asia, and Jetstar was my first experience with having my carry-on bag "too heavy". I had to pay an additional 4000 yen to have it checked, and they would not let me transfer items like my kindle and camera to my purse - This is ridiculous. Then boarding the plane - what a cluster! The PSA said for the last rows to load first and literally everyone at the gate got up and queued in line paying no attention. They didn't enforce the boarding rows whatsoever, and it took a long time to get everyone on the plane and settled. In-flight, though the staff was friendly, the trip departed a few minutes late, the seats were uncomfortable, there was no mesh back pocket on the seats, there were no tissues in the bathroom, and the flight landed late. I didn't get out of the Manila airport until after midnight waiting on my bag at baggage claim. Never taking Jetstar again. Not worth the price paid.
